Gstool 3.1.276
The application codenamed GSTOOL 3.1 has been designed
as structural back-up for implementing the BPM. It
covers the entire process from IT structural analysis
through to the award of the IT Baseline Protection
Certificate. Its central function is twofold: firstly to
enable companies, public authorities and other
institutions to determine the measures required for
certification, and secondly to provide a means of
checking and controlling the implementation of those
measures.
Once the various components of a set of IT assets (IT
systems, networks, applications etc.) have been
established and classified, GSTOOL can be used in tandem
with the recommendations of the BPM to construct a model
containing all the modules and safeguards stipulated by
the Manual for that specific set of assets.
